Life is for Living Every Day

Celebrating Faith, Family, Love, Laughter

Enjoying the Now

“Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.”
Omar Khayyam

The now, this present moment, is difficult. Burying someone you love is never easy.

But here I am in Trinidad visiting and supporting my cousin as we lay her husband to rest. He was a good man who loved the Lord and will be missed.  Yet, the time we have been able to spend together as a family is amazing as many of us come together – after lots of years apart – for this sad event.

Christmas like every other season comes whether we are alive or dead, happy or sad, alone or with others. My advice? Let’s make every effort to enjoy every single moment of every single day, because only the NOW in life is a given.  Hope you’ll agree 🙂

A Broken Heart

From one of my favourite blogs “Moments With Millie” are these profound thoughts on life in a post entitled “A Broken Heart”:

“We are all going to die. It’s a given. The moment you are born that’s the point of destination. What we do with the in-between is called life. Allow for the darkest parts to guide you into the light. Let creativity step in.”

I have included the link to the full article and am sure after reading you will agree: it may be hard at times but life is definitely made for living, and living to the fullest. We are born with loads of potential to be anything we want to be. Let’s look for solutions and not problems; let’s look for opportunities to make the world a better place – they are out there waiting for us!

And lastly, a gentle remember: no-one knows the day or the hour which may be their last … it’s not too late to shine your light into the darkness 🙂
