No Worries

The days were tight with meetings and workshops. The stress of packing, travelling, unpacking and facilitating back-to-back sessions added up to one super big knot of tension which ran from the base of my neck right down into my spine.

And then, unexpectedly a gift of a few free moments just before leaving Grand Cayman to take a relaxing walk on the beach early in the morning. It was great to feel the pressure flowing out of my body as I inhaled the crisp clean air and enjoyed the gentle playful waves caressing my ankles as they whispered: “no worries!”

How do you like to relax? Do you prefer to be alone or in the company of others? If you have young children can you even relax at all? Leave me a comment 🙂

WordPress Photo Challenge: Enveloped II

Below is my second submission for the challenge: “What does “enveloped” mean to you? It could be your post-bath toddler wrapped burrito-style in a huge fuzzy towel. How about the ever-present fog that meanders through your city? Is it the well-loved hammock you lie in devouring novels as if they were candy? Maybe it’s your favorite fluffy comforter, edges worn from love and use?”

My feet are totally enveloped in the warm early morning water off Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman 🙂

WordPress Photo Challenge: Early bird (2)

“In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” Psalm 95:4-5 (NIV)

Here’s my second entry on the WordPress Early Bird photo challenge: an early morning walk on 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman.  The water was warm over our toes, the waves gently caressing the golden shores and a clean smell in the air. Although we were ‘speed’ walking up and down the beach, just looking out over the ocean was so relaxing … can you feel the calm and appreciate this awesome scenery from the pics (although they were taken with my phone which does not do justice to what we were seeing)?

It was definitely a beautiful experience and a great start to our day aka niceness 🙂
