Be Encouraged or What to do When Life is not Perfect

Sometimes life throws you a really big curve ball that stops you dead in your tracks. It’s hard to keep moving forward and you can feel out of sorts for a long time afterwards, as you try to get out of the funk.

But look at nature for a bit. We can experience the devastation of a tropical storm or hurricane yet flowers will continue to bloom and the sun to shine. There are the dark days and there are the bright days; it’s one step followed by another and then another – not so?

So today I encourage you never to give up. The rain will fall and there might be loud thunder with sharp lightning but the sun will come out in a blue sky again.  Do what you ca to keep the faith, and the faith will keep you. The flowers in my garden confirm this is true. 🙂

If you know someone who needs a little sunshine in their lives, then pass this on!

I am a girl with a little Olympus Stylus camera which I purchased in 2009 during a brief business trip to Miami. Not great on features or focus or awesomeness but I point and it shoots. In other words, I am definitely not a professional photographer by any means; actually I am not even an amateur! I am just a girl with a little … but wait … I said that already.   Continue reading

WordPress Photo Challenge: Early bird (2)

“In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” Psalm 95:4-5 (NIV)

Here’s my second entry on the WordPress Early Bird photo challenge: an early morning walk on 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman.  The water was warm over our toes, the waves gently caressing the golden shores and a clean smell in the air. Although we were ‘speed’ walking up and down the beach, just looking out over the ocean was so relaxing … can you feel the calm and appreciate this awesome scenery from the pics (although they were taken with my phone which does not do justice to what we were seeing)?

It was definitely a beautiful experience and a great start to our day aka niceness 🙂
