Circles of Nostalgia

No longer shiny, no longer new
No longer a sign of me tied to you
My heart doesn’t cry
(Too many years have gone by)
But today as I sit
I’m amazed they still fit!

The Future is in the Harvest

Kidney beans after one week

I planted some red kidney beans last week Sunday and only one week later, here we are! I’m excitedly looking forward to harvesting my own beans sometime in the future.

Tomato seedlings

I planted tomato seeds for a friend the same day I planted my beans. I was surprised to see these little plants appear after only five days beneath the soil. She is going to be just as excited about her future harvest as I will be about mine 🙂

This week’s WordPress Photo Challenge asked us to focus on the future; click here to see more illustrations.

Will Chirp For Food!

Morning and evening
they wait for me
Grains galore
they get for free
Blackbirds, sparrows
pigeons, doves
The more the merrier
to share in the love 🙂
