“Come to me, all you who are wearied and burdened, and I will give rest.”
Matthew 11:29 (NIV)

Today we want to talk a little about stress, because it doesn’t matter how much you try to ignore it or sweep it under the proverbial rug, prolonged tension and strain on your body translates into a serious killer. The reality then is that you will become its victim unless you actively do something to manage it sooner rather than later.
One of the first things we can do is to consciously give God everything that is causing us worry and anxiety. He created the entire earth with the sea, the sun, the moon, the stars, the animals and us itty bitty humans. Believe then that He can definitely take care of an overdue bill, a sick child or parent, an unreasonable deadline, a dead battery or flat tyre, a back-stabbing co-worker or a judgmental ‘friend’.
At the end of the day the choice is yours and yours alone as to what you will do to manage your stress; I would know. To close today’s thought out, I am working on me and I hope you are working on you; the choice is ours to make – let’s make the right one.
“Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not.”
~ Valerie Bertinelli
“If you don’t think your anxiety, depression, sadness and stress impact your physical health, think again. All of these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Learn how to cope, sweet friend. There will always be dark days.”
~ Kris Carr
