Yellow is Beautiful

It has been about two years since I first dared to participate in a WordPress Photo Challenge. I can’t even remember what my first submission looked like but I do know that I’ve learnt quite a lot about taking photos since my first post.

One such ‘lesson’ included thoughts on macro photography. I was obsessed with seeing how close I could get to my subject before the image became blurred and found myself falling more and more in love with flowers (and in some cases the bugs who visited them) as a result.

I still have a long way to go but as we close out another year, I wanted to share these beautiful photos taken on Boxing Day with my Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro phone. I didn’t want to disturb the busy bee too much (and he was really really busy flitting to and fro between the many flowers on this bush) so did not get as close as I may have liked but the macro capabilities of the camera in this little baby are rather impressive – if I may say so myself.

Easily some of my favorite shots of the year; am sure you can see why.

So all that’s left for me to do is to wish you a Happy New Year! May your days be filled with the bright yellow of flowers bathed in golden sunlight all year through!
