You may not want your blog to go viral but still …

I believe that most bloggers want people to read what we write. We believe we have something to say and share, even if it’s just “another” opinion. Yet there are days we can be disappointed after putting our words out into the stratosphere but no-one sees them (for whatever reason).

So if you’re like me and looking for a few more eyes to check out your posts, this note by The Millionaire’s Digest might prove more than a little useful for us. I found a lot of the info shared could be applied to blogs other than those focusing primarily on photography, beauty or food and that’s why I’m passing it on.

Of course, if you’re happy with things just as they are, please feel free to ignore 🙂

1. Appeal to emotions. Write a headline that gets people to question themselves or their habits. Present a new angle on an old topic. Touch your audience’s pain points, and offer solutions. Example: A popular YouTube video goes viral because its funny and taps into people’s emotions.

  1. Interesting! I write for myself really – I put things on that I need to show or get out. The fact that people look by is an added bonus – and I have made some lovely blogging pals along the way. However for authors, sellers or those who want the world to come around to their way of thinking this post is really important.

    • I guess the amount of viewers you want depends on why you’re writing in the first place but views are good! Actually comments are even better than views because it gets a conversation going and then leads the way to those lovely blogging pals. Thanks for sharing; this was a good comment from a lovely blogging pal 🙂 🙂 🙂
