These photos are from Nathan’s competition in Guadeloupe in 2014 where he won gold in his category. At 16 years old he defeated an adult and demonstrated that age in some instances is but a number.
He’s one year older now and has moved up into a higher more competitive category but word reaching us here at home is that he’s won gold in Guadeloupe this weekend – again. Amen!!!
As we wait to meet him at the airport when he comes home tomorrow, we can’t help but feel proud of this young man who has been training and training and training. He has sacrificed a lot to get to this stage, yet this is just the beginning of his dream to become an olympian in the sport of judo and to represent his country on a much bigger stage. As far as this proud mama is concerned, the sky’s the only limit.
Congrats son, on a job well done 🙂
