In May last  year I shared this post on “Where women today go wrong“. It resulted in much laughter and comment across Facebook among my friends.  Twelve months later I come across this tongue-in-cheek article apparently written by, yes, a wife (as was published in the premier issue of Ms. Magazine so we are told) and just as thought-provoking. Although funny I believe she might have a good point: looks as though there is a strong case for wives with husbands to have wives too.

Excerpt from the Feminist eZine: Why I want a Wife

“I belong to that classification of people known as wives. I am A Wife. And, not altogether incidentally, I am a mother. Not too long ago a male friend of mine appeared on the scene fresh from a recent divorce. He had one child, who is, of course, with his ex-wife. He is looking for another wife. As I thought about him while I was ironing one evening, it suddenly occurred to me that I too, would like to have a wife. Why do I want a wife?” Read more

After smiling and nodding/shaking your head, don’t forget to share your thoughts; leave a comment … especially if you want a wife too 🙂

  1. My husband and I have said for years that we need a wife to take care of us!
