It takes me a while to warm up to Christmas. There are too many things to do and not enough time to do them. Then there’s too much food to eat and not enough focus on exercising all those goodies off your body.
Maybe I’m being a “bah humbug” type of person (as usual) but when I came across this post from last year I found that all of the reasons why Christmas is NOT necessarily my favourite time of year still applies. In a few days though I’ll come around … standby!
“What? Christmas is NOT your favourite time of year? You’ve got to be kidding me!!!”
My girlfriend thought I was kidding; I wasn’t. Christmas is NOT my favourite time of the year. There, I’ve said it out loud. And now you know. You may not agree or even understand but hey, this is my blog so I get to share what’s on my mind 😉
Maybe it’s the blatant commercialization of the season which makes it quite hard to remember the real reason for the season because every single year all I can see is a never ending list of things to be done stretching into eternity. And don’t talk to me about planning ahead because no matter how hard I try, the current December usually starts out being the same as the one the year before.
