Love. We all have our own interpretation of this little four letter word. Love can look like and/or mean different things to different people. We usually accept this because it’s all about perspective and life experiences.
Yet I think one of the key things about love is that the deep emotional feeling which totally embraces and then radiates right through you, leaving a warm tingling tender feeling and bright eyes along with a big broad toothy smile – no matter what time of day or night or whether it’s a life/death situation – that my friends is the real thing!
But take note: for love to be true it must also be unconditional which means no matter what happens, it’s always there – with you and for you – to the very end of time. I have learnt that true love can sometimes be very hard to come by here on earth. People may mean well but stuff happens … bad stuff. As a result we humans can find it quite difficult to forgive and forget especially if the ‘act’ in question was deliberately hate or malice driven. After suffering a few such encounters where I thought I was loved but found out after a lot of pain it was not the real thing, all I can say is thank goodness there is someone we can always turn to for buckets and buckets of endless never-ending infinite unconditional awesome love!
So let’s take a moment today to think about love and what it means to us. Let’s lift up all those who have loved us and supported us, while praying for the haters and the back-stabbers who may never love us even as we try to love them.
