And he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18:27 (KJV)
Isn’t it amazing how flowers can grow along the bottom of a cement paved sidewalk or between stones with no soil? How do they do it? How are they nourished? I wonder about this because there are times when I have planted seedlings in the richest of soil and watered them every single day for weeks, yet they still died.
But let me offer a disclaimer here: I am NOT a plant killer! I do believe however that in the same way God’s love extends to looking after the flowers and the sparrows and all of His creation, so does He look out for us when we walk through the deserts of our lives. And that my friends is how we are able to grow and flourish (and maybe even flower): with God’s awesome help.
So next time you see a flower growing seemingly out of nowhere, apply this ‘miracle’ to your own life and remember to thank God for blessing you so much that you can’t help but be a big bright flower – just where you are.
