Time for Summer Lovin’

Summer fun cruising in Barbados

If you don’t live in a tropical country it may be easier to differentiate between Summer and Winter, but here in #Barbados we enjoy warm sunny weather all year round. So when is it Summer for us?

Well Summer is when it gets hotter than hot … and it’s like really really hot now in July.  Actually, it’s been hot since June and August looks as though it’s going to be a scorcher!

But after checking out this week’s WordPress photo challenge, I knew there was no way I could put all of my Summer images together for you in one place, so I’ve decided to share my most recent i.e. when there is an abundance of birds in the surrounding trees, lizards all over the place, lots of amazing clouds in super blue skies,  awesome sunsets, white laundry hanging out to dry and afternoons of doing nothing more than lying under my ceiling fan sipping a glass of cherry juice (made from cherries picked right off of my tree).

If it gets too hot for us and all else fails, there’s always the option of hanging out on one of our beautiful beaches of course (if you don’t have access to a pool) and taking a dip in the cool cool waters surrounding the island or jumping on to a boat for a relaxing sail in the wind 🙂

Hope your #Summer is going to be as great as mine, and that you get to enjoy some Summer Lovin’ time!

  1. Looks delightful. Haven’t been to Barbados since the seventies. I wonder if it’s changed much.

  2. Love the pictures of Barbados! If I could talk my hubby into it, I would live in a tropical climate. We are cruising to St. Thomas, St. Marteen, San Juan and Grand Turk in October! I absolutely love that part of the world!
