For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
It’s true: everyone has a story. But why is it important for those with stories to share while those with ears listen? Because your story could just as easily be my story.
We have absolutely no choice over who our parents are, nor can we decide what country or village we would rather be born or raised in. We don’t get to look over a list of skin colours, eye colours, or hair colours; there’s no book which gives you an option to select your siblings or other relatives. All we get to do is live our personal story the best way we know how.
Can you relate? Well just think about it for a moment and hopefully you’ll understand why this particular story touched my heart of hearts. I’m not going to spill any of the beans as they say by telling you what it’s about, so click on the image but remember to have your tissues handy because you’re going to need them.
As we thank God for Dakysha’s story, I encourage you to go out and share your own story … because someone out there is waiting to hear it!
