So here’s the challenge:
For this week’s challenge, share a photo with letters — no matter the alphabet. You can capture a neon sign, a sentence scribbled in an old phone booth, a random letter that’s seemingly out of place, or anything else. As you look through your lens, think about how your image might convey something bigger: a snapshot of how we communicate with one another, even if we don’t speak the same language.
And here’s my take:
After much thought, I decided to share 5 photos with letters which form the words describing my life right now. The first photo shows a gift from my son, happily bestowed one Mother’s Day many years ago. I love tea. I drink at least 2 to 3 cups every day and I love this mug because I definitely believe the flowery letters that tell the world I am his #1 Mom🙂
PS: I use the mug when I’m having tea in the office – much more exposure and opportunity for conversation – lol.
The second photo shows a sign in our neighbourhood. Cars tend to speed through and the humps slow them down enough to ensure the safety of pedestrians. But this is also a sign I wish I had in my life, for those times when a few letters conveying words of warning/caution of an impending situation would have been great … just saying …
That being said, it follows that I would share this ‘road hump’ with you. These two photos of fun magnets gifted to me by two very good friends need little explanation; the letters spell the message out for all to see: I’m young but not too young for ‘flashing hotness’! And so, even though I’m flashing (and flashing and flashing), as far as I’m concerned I am and will always be One super HOT Chick – the magnets tell me so!
Last but not least, the most important photo: of 3 beautiful greeting cards lovingly created by some beautiful women (all suffering from various degrees of Alzheimer’s or Dementia) and specially made for their families this past Valentine’s Day. The material used is nothing out of the ordinary; just some inexpensive card, glitter, tissue paper and a few drops of glue to keep everything together. But those 4 little letters, the L-O-V-E put one after the other say it all … because without them we wouldn’t have L-I-F-E.
And that’s my take on the letters of the words that convey G-A-L-E but what are the letters in your life telling you? Would love to hear your words🙂
