Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33.3 (NIV)
Life today is filled with lots of urgent ‘to do’ stuff. You have errands to run, projects with deadlines, kids to chauffeur here and there, a spouse/significant other to love. In the midst of the pot are your commitments to church and charity, and most of all yourself.
God says to call on Him and He will answer, but do we remember to call on rather than complain at? There’s a difference and God knows it just as we know it.
Let’s make an effort to pause and think before we approach our Heavenly Father. We are His treasured children and He loves us. By extension then He knows life can be hard and challenging and overwhelming for us, but He also knows that with our acceptance of His help (including the knowledge of ‘great and unsearchable things’) we can eventually get out of the valley and up to the mountain top.
Are you willing to step out and be bold? Are you willing to call on God without whining and complaining? Something to think about before you answer …
