It’s the last Monday and the last day of 2012! We made it! Aren’t you happy to be alive? Yes, yes, yes!
Some of us I am sure are very glad to be looking forward to a new brand year; a perceived time of new possibilities, new opportunities, new relationships, new careers, new attitudes … lots of “new’s”. But our reality should not be entirely based on the goals we write in our journals or diaries tonight or tomorrow morning as most of the new stuff will become old and viewed as an inconvenience or too much effort by January 31.
Let us try to keep it simple. Yes, let’s write down all of our dreams for 2013 but let’s also agree to be committed to seeing them through to the end, to be accountable to ourselves, and to be supportive of others as well.
Promise for today
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
